Information rights
The Duchy of Cornwall estate is subject to data protection legislation. This enables individuals to request access to their own personal data ando exercise additional rights of correction and deletion depending on the reason the information is held. Any data protection enquiries or subject access requests should be sent by email to informationrights@duchyofcornwall.org
The Duchy of Cornwall estate is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.

In 2016, the Upper Tier Tribunal issued a decision on appeal in the case of The Attorney-General for the Prince of Wales v the IC and Mr Michael Bruton, which confirmed that the Duchy of Cornwall estate is not bound by the Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs). However, the decision also concluded that the Statutory Harbour Authority on St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly is bound by the EIRs. For any EIR requests please contact the Harbour Authority.
