The Duchy's Future Farming team work closely with seven Focus Farms across the estate to foster innovation, share best practice and implement regenerative farming initiatives.

Earlier this year Matt and Debbie Keeling and their son Joe at Wilmington Farm, hosted a Focus Farm Walk and despite the rain, over 30 farming tenants joined the Duchy team for the largest (and wettest) walk yet.
Tilly Kimble-Wilde from the Farm Carbon Toolkit explained how, by reducing fuel use, improving crop nitrogen use efficiency and carefully planning fertiliser applications (or using organic manures), arable farmers can reduce emissions and boost soil health whilst maintaining crop yields.
Matt Keeling shared his cost saving expertise, from fertiliser reduction to updates in cattle grazing techniques.
